Clarence J. Enzler, who lived from 1910 to 1976, is most famously recognized for his work “Everyone’s Way of the Cross,” which was initially released in 1970. Throughout his career, he dedicated a significant amount of time to the US Department of Agriculture, serving from 1937 to 1972, with a brief hiatus from 1943 to 1945 when he took on the role of feature editor at the National Catholic Welfare Conference News Service, now known as Catholic News Service.

Enzler was a highly productive writer, contributing articles to various national publications such as The Ave Maria, and penning three books in total. He earned a doctorate from the Catholic University of America and held the position of deacon in the Archdiocese of Washington. Alongside his wife Kathleen Crowley Enzler, the couple raised thirteen children, showcasing his dedication not only to his professional endeavors but also to his family life.
