The pen name Franklin W. Dixon was employed by various authors, with the initial writer being Leslie McFarlane, who hailed from Canada. These authors were responsible for crafting the well-known series of novels called The Hardy Boys, which were published by the Stratemeyer Syndicate. It is important to note that the Stratemeyer Syndicate is now under the ownership of Simon & Schuster. In addition to The Hardy Boys series, the pseudonym Franklin W. Dixon was also utilized for the Ted Scott Flying Stories series.
