Jessie Burton, a talented author, honed her skills at Oxford University and the Central School of Speech and Drama, showcasing her acting abilities in various productions such as The House of Bernarda Alba, Othello, Play, and Macbeth. Her literary journey took a significant turn in April 2013 when her debut novel, The Miniaturist, was acquired in a competitive 11-publisher auction at the prestigious London Book Fair, leading to its publication in 29 countries worldwide.
