Praise for the Magicians Trilogy:

“This gripping novel draws on the conventions of contemporary and classic fantasy novels to upend them . . . an unexpectedly moving coming-of-age story.” The New Yorker on The Magicians

In this appealing tale, we are introduced to Hollis Kessler, a young adult who finds himself trapped in a world devoid of magic. Alongside his friends, Hollis navigates through a mundane existence, characterized by late nights, excessive reading and drinking, and endless conversations that seem to lead nowhere. They all seem to be stuck in a cycle of unfulfilling work and minimal effort. However, amidst this monotonous routine, Hollis harbors a deep obsession with an alternate reality that exists solely within his imagination. This vivid world is filled with thrilling adventures, perilous encounters, interstellar travel, and passionate romances. It beckons him to break free from his reveries and embrace a more purposeful existence.

As the story unfolds, readers are transported into the depths of Hollis’ mind, where the line between reality and fantasy becomes increasingly blurred. Grossman’s masterful storytelling allows us to experience the exhilaration and danger that permeate Hollis’ inner world. The author skillfully weaves together elements of science fiction, romance, and suspense, creating a narrative that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.

Warp is a thought-provoking novel that delves into the universal theme of finding one’s true purpose in life. Through Hollis’ journey, readers are encouraged to reflect on their aspirations and the importance of embracing their passions. Lev Grossman’s exceptional writing and his ability to seize the essence of human longing make this book a compelling read for individuals from all walks of life. So, if you have ever felt adrift in your existence, prepare to be amazed by the enthralling world of Warp.

Lev Grossman-

Hey there! I’m the creative mind behind the incredible Magicians trilogy, which has taken the literary world by storm. This astonishing series, consisting of The Magicians, The Magician King, and The Magician’s Land, has achieved the amazing feat of reaching the coveted #1 spot on the New York Times bestselling list. But that’s not all! The trilogy was so enthralling that it was adapted into a thrilling TV show that aired for an impressive five seasons on Syfy.

Apart from my magical trilogy, I’ve also delved into the world of children’s literature. I’ve penned two awesome novels for young readers that have garnered undeniable praise. The Silver Arrow, a heartwarming tale, has been recognized by prestigious publications such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and People magazine, and even received accolades from Apple and Amazon, all of whom included it on their best-of-the-year lists. And if that wasn’t enough, I followed it up with an equally enchanting sequel called The Golden Swift.

Let me give you a glimpse into my personal life. I hail from the charming town of Lexington, Massachusetts, where I was raised by two brilliant English professors who instilled in me a love for literature from a young age. Interestingly, creativity runs in the family as my twin brother, Austin, is also a talented writer and game designer, while my older sister, Sheba, expresses her artistic flair as an accomplished artist. As for my adventures, I split my time between the vibrant city of Brooklyn, New York, and the picturesque landscapes of Sydney, Australia, which happens to be my wife’s hometown. Together, we have the joy of raising three wonderful children and, somehow, our household seems to be constantly expanding with an ever-growing number of feline companions. Life is certainly never dull!

‘If the Narnia books were like catnip for a certain kind of kid, these books are like crack for a certain kind of adult…breathless, stay-up-all-night, thrumming excitement.” The New York Times on The Magician’s Land

“Endlessly fascinating…This is a brilliant fantasy filled with memorable characters.” Booklist (Starred Review) on The Magician’s Land
