Lights Out in Lincolnwood
In the quiet town of Lincolnwood, New Jersey, the Altman family goes about their usual routine on a typical Tuesday morning. Dan, a former lawyer turned screenwriter, is engrossed in meeting the demands of his demanding TV producer boss.
Meanwhile, their teenage daughter Chloe is focused on her college application essay and upcoming tennis semifinals, while her younger brother Max is brewing up a plan to deal with a bully at school. Their mother Jen, who sacrificed her successful career for motherhood, eagerly awaits the moment when she can pour herself a drink in peace once the chaos of the morning rush subsides.
However, the mundane activities of the Altman family are abruptly interrupted when a global calamity strikes, bringing the entire modern world to a standstill. As the kids head off to school and Dan commutes to Manhattan, the technological infrastructure that society heavily relies on suddenly ceases to function. The familiar comforts of everyday life vanish, leaving the Altmans and their neighbors confused and uncertain.
During chaos and uncertainty, the Altman family must navigate challenges that test their resilience and unity. From dealing with water shortages to encountering paramilitary groups in their neighborhood, the family must band together to survive in this new reality. As they grapple with the unknown and face unexpected obstacles, the Altmans must confront their vulnerabilities and redefine what it means to survive in a world truly turned upside down.
